Cary District 26 Board Member Resigns
There is now an open seat for interested candidates on the local school board.

From The Cary District 26: The Cary District 26 Board of Education has an open seat that must be filled by appointment. Mr. Ben Washow submitted his resignation to Superintendent Brian Coleman on June 22, 2018 due to his recent appointment to the McHenry County Conservation District Board. This event triggers a 45-day window in which the school board is required to interview and appoint a new board member.
Applications are being accepted for the open board seat at this time. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, a resident of Cary Community Consolidated School District 26 for at least one year and a registered voter. The open seat will be appointed to serve through the April 2019 general election. The Board encourages any community member who is interested in serving the District to come forward and apply for the position. By law the seat must be filled within 45 days from the resignation. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest with resume/qualifications to Superintendent Brian Coleman at the District 26 Administrative Center, 2115 Crystal Lake Road, Cary, IL. 60013 or email it to Dr. Coleman’s attention at brian.coleman@cary26.org. All applications must be received at the Administration Center by the end of the business day on Friday, July 13, 2018 to be considered.
