MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 38-year-old Cary man will serve four years in prison after pleading guilty to a drug charge this past week in McHenry County.

Sufiyan Alam entered the guilty plea Tuesday to unlawfully possessing a controlled substance with intent to deliver in McHenry County Court. The drug charge was filed following a June 27, 2019, search of Alam's home where authorities found 60 Adderall pills — some of which were individually packaged for sale, according to prosecutors.

An investigation was led by detectives with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Police Narcotics Task Force.
