A look at this week's sports results.

Here’s a look at how athletics did the past week…

Football: Friday night, Cary improved to 5-2 on the season with a 31-14 win at Huntley. Quinn Baker scored twice and rushed for over 150 yards as the Trojans won their first Fox Valley Conference Valley Division game of the season after starting 0-2 in divisional play.

Volleyball: Cary began their week with a two-game win over Jacobs on Thursday night. Mallory Wilczynski had seven kills to lead C-G on the match. On Saturday, the Trojans went 5-0 to win the Schaumburg Invitational. Melanie Jereb had 36 kills for Cary, who moved to 27-4 on the season.

Boys Soccer: C-G won their opening match of the week on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over Dundee-Crown. Zack Solarte and Eric Wilde each had goals for the Trojans. Thursday night, Cary scored a 2-1 win at Jacobs. Kevin Wilde scored in the final minute to give Cary the win to improve to 15-2 on the season. C-G got their 16th win of the year Saturday with a 6-0 win over Guilford. Kevin Wilde scored three goals for Cary.

Girls Tennis: On Monday, the Trojans swept past Grayslake Central with a 7-0 win in Fox Valley Conference play. C-G fell 5-2 on Tuesday to Jacobs. Amanda Dorsey won at No. 1 singles for Cary. On Thursday and Friday, the Trojans were at the Fox Valley Conference Tournament and finished fourth as a team.

Boys Golf: The postseason began Tuesday with the Class 3A Barrington Sectional as the Trojans finished tied for fourth place as a team. Justin Kinney shot an 80 while brother Jarrett shot an 82 to both advance as individuals to sectional play.

Girls Golf: The Crystal Lake Central co-op team which includes Cary-Grove was at the Class AA Prairie Ridge Regional Wednesday and won the first regional title in school history as sophomore Lexi Harkins shot an even-par 73. Cary-Grove’s Amalia Emma shot an 85 while Larisa Luloff had a 90.

Boys Cross Country: The Trojans went 1-1 Tuesday with a win over Huntley and a loss to Crystal Lake South at Hickory Nut Grove in a FVC Triangular. Dustin Throw finished first while Dan Sikora was second for C-G.

Girls Cross Country: Tuesday saw a strong outing for the Trojans, sweeping the top five spots during their home triangular win over Huntley and Crystal Lake South.

Girls Swimming: On Wednesday, the Trojans defeated Dundee-Crown 93-68. Lauren Curtis won the 100 and 200 freestyle while Melissa Rose took the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Molly English won the 200 IM as well for C-G. Cary added an 87-83 win on Thursday over McHenry. Curtis won the 100 and 200 freestyles for the second day in a row. On Saturday, Cary finished sixth at the Hersey Jamboree. Curtis finished fourth in the 100 freestyle and third in the 200 freestyle.
