“We loved celebrating the 'collective victory.' All aspects of the production were honored (acting, singing, dancing, tech, band, etc.) as we all won!” said Rob Boncosky, musical director.

Cary-Grove was the highest represented school at the awards in the state of Illinois this year. “Les Miserables” from York Community High School, and “Miss Saigon” from Stevenson High School were also nominated for best overall production.Â
About 125 students were involved in the cast, crew, and band. They rehearsed three to four days a week, and leads practiced five to six days a week. It took just over two months to put the entire production together. “Cinderella” sold out all seven performances, more than any show in the school’s history.
“We are so grateful to all of those who have made this possible: Cary and Fox River Grove communities and D155 administration for their support of the arts, the amazing CG production team that shares its passion and expertise, and all of our students involved in the production for working so hard by showcasing their unique gifts and talents,” Boncosky said.
