Cary Man, 19, Killed In Drive-By Shooting On Chicago's South Side: Police
The shooting happened over the weekend in the 4000 block of West 69th Street in Chicago, police said.
CHICAGO, IL -- A 19-year-old Cary man was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting on the Chicago's South Side over the weekend, authorities said.
The shooting occurred in the 4000 block of West 69th Street at about 1:53 a.m. Saturday when the teen, who has been identified as Giovannie E. Vargas, was hit by gunfire while standing outside, the Daily Herald is reporting.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, Vargas died from a gunshot wound to the back. His death has been ruled a homicide.
Police said no one else was injured in the drive-by shooting.
