Cary Man Seriously Injured in I-90 Crash Now Faces DUI, Drug Charges
Jarrid Arranz's foot was partially amputated following the crash in Hoffman Estates on Tuesday.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - A 23-year-old Cary man seriously injured when he crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 90 in Hoffman Estates on Tuesday evening now faces several criminal charges, including driving under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana, the Daily Herald reports.
Jarrid Arranz was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital following the crash at 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday where he was treated for multiple injuries, including the partial amputation of his foot, according to the newspaper.
The crash occurred when Saturn traveling at a high rate of speed on I-90 west of Higgins Road struck the guardrail, according to an earlier Daily Herald report. The collision closed the two westbound lanes of I-90.

The Daily Herald reports Illinois State Police have also filed the following additional charges against Arranz in connection with the crash: failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane use, not wearing seat belt, having no insurance and not having his driver’s license on him.
