Cary PD Releases Results From Holiday Detail
Officers issued several tickets during the holiday enforcement effort between Dec. 16 and Jan. 2.
CARY, IL — The Cary Police Department stepped up enforcement efforts in recent weeks as a way to keep drunken drivers off the streets over the holidays.
During the holiday detail, which ran Dec. 16 to Jan. 2, officers issued several tickets, including five for speeding, one for operating a vehicle with suspended registration, one for a seat belt violation and two for disobeying a traffic control device, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department.
The holiday enforcement campaign is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal safety funds from the National Highway Safety Transportation.
