Cary Police Host National Night Out In August

National Night Out will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the Cary Municipal Center at 755 Georgetown Drive, Cary.

CARY, IL — The Cary Police Department and Cary Citizen's Policy Academy Alumni Association plans to host its National Night Out from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the Cary Municipal Center at 755 Georgetown Drive, Cary.

This year celebrates the 40th anniversary of National Night Out, which is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Those stopping out will get to meet first responders, tour emergency vehicles and the police
department, get free popcorn, watch a LifeNet helicopter land and take-off and enjoy food from six food trucks. There will also be plenty of activities for children including a dunk tank, inflatables, temporary tattoos, a balloon artist, face painting and free raffles for bicycles, scooters, and helmets.
