Cary Village Board To Vote on Ordinance Banning Home Occupations

The Cary Village Board Tuesday will vote on an ordinance banning certain home businesses, the Northwest Herald reports.

The subject came to light when Cary resident Greg Karnauch inquired about running a firearms business from his home. Karnauch planned to sell the weapons through an on-line auction and intended to transfer the weapons by appointment only, the Northwest Herald article said.

The ordinance includes banning other home businesses such as tanning salons, shooting ranges, fitness facilities, kennels and vehicle sales lots, the article said.
