Cause Of Cary Garage Fire Under Investigation

CARY, IL — One person sustained minor burns after a fire broke out at a house in Cary Wednesday night. The Cary Fire Department responded to 15 Boxwood Drive at 9:12 p.m. and found the rear wall of an attached garage on fire, according to a news release from the fire department.

No one was inside the home when fire crews arrived and firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, according to fire officials.

One person was treated at the scene for minor burns but then refused treatment and a transport to the hospital. No firefighters were injured in the blaze.

A damage estimate is not immediately available and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
