Child Accused Of Stabbing Man Near McHenry In 'Domestic Incident': Authorities
The incident happened in the 5300 block of Leeside Street on Wednesday night, police said.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A minor has been charged after an man was stabbed Wednesday night near McHenry, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded at about 9 p.m. on May 14 to the 5300 block of Leeside Street for a reported stabbing. When officers arrived, they found an man with stab wounds, authorities said.
Investigators said a suspect was found and taken into custody shortly after the incident. Preliminary findings indicate the stabbing was domestic-related and an isolated incident, with no ongoing threat to the public.

The man was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he was treated and released, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said the minor was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, both felony charges under Illinois law.

The minor was detained at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center.
