3-Year-Old Boy Hit, Killed By School Bus In Cary
The collision happened Monday afternoon in the area of Cherry and Hill streets.
CARY, IL — A 3-year-old boy has died after being hit by a school bus in Cary Monday afternoon.
The incident happened at about 3:40 p.m. Monday in the area of Cherry and Hill streets, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department. The boy was playing on a "ride-on toy" in the street just prior to being hit by the bus, Cary Police Department Deputy Chief Scott Naydenoff told Patch in an email response late Monday.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

A student on the bus, which was a District 47/District 155 school bus, and the driver were not injured, according to police. No one has been arrested in connection with the collision, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
