Luxury Apartment Development Gets Thumbs-Up in Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake’s newest development proposal received a unanimous approval from the City Council at Tuesday’s meeting. The 99-unit luxury apartment development at the corner of Crystal Lake Avenue and Main Street will feature both apartment and townhome units for rent. The mix of buildings allowed for the developer to have more flexibility for open spaces on-site for the residents to gather and enjoy green space, plazas, outdoor seating areas and a dog park.

The prime location within the Downtown Crystal Lake District will provide residents with the ability to walk to shopping and dining options or jump on the adjacent Prairie Path. The development team is led by Hamilton Partners, a Chicagoland developer who has over 30 years of experience in the retail, office, industrial and residential markets. Tim Beechick of Hamilton Partners shared at the public hearing, “Hamilton Partners is excited about the opportunity to bring a development to Downtown Crystal Lake. Having a vibrant downtown is the main amenity for the future residents of this development. You cannot ask for anything better.”
