Cooper's Hawk Plans To Open In Gurnee This Year
The new restaurant and winery will be located near the intersection of Rollins Road and Grand Avenue.
GURNEE, IL — A new Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant is expected to open this year in Gurnee.
Work is underway on the new restaurant in the parking lot of the former Lowe's Home Improvement store at 7735 Grand Avenue. Construction began last fall, with Cooper's Hawk planning to open the restaurant at some point this year, according to a post on the village of Gurnee Facebook page.
Currently, the closest Cooper's Hawk is located in Wheeling with 45 total locations across 10 states. The opening of the Gurnee restaurant will be the 14th Cooper's Hawk location in the Chicago area.

Construction is also underway on a new College of Lake County Advanced Technology Center in the former Lowe's building, according to village of Gurnee officials.
On April 12, the Gurnee Village Board approved a Redevelopment Agreement with Kensington Development Group to facilitate construction of a new Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant on a new outlot adjacent to the former Lowe’s home improvement store at 7735 Grand Avenue. Construction began this fall, and the award-winning restaurant and winery, with 45 locations across 10 states, is on track to be open in 2022.

The Center will offer expanded programming in automation, robotics and mechatronics, computer numerical control, and welding, with the purpose of supporting local manufacturers in meeting their workforce needs while providing education and career paths for area students.
