Coroner ID Man, 50, Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a 50-year-old Wonder Lake man killed in a single-vehicle crash near Wonder Lake last week.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Robert Morris died from blunt force injuries sustained in the collision, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office responded to the collision in the 7700 block of Howe Road in Wonder Lake on the morning of January 19. When police arrived, they found Morris in his vehicle, which had went off the roadway.

Coroner's office officials told Patch he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
