New Indoor Facility for Training to Open in the Fall
The Crush Tidal Waves (CTW) Girls Fastpitch Organization is excited to announce that they will be opening a new indoor training facility at 6704 Pingree Road in Crystal Lake this Fall. The facility will be 15,000 square feet that includes a full turfed infield (70' x 70'), four hitting tunnels (12' x 55'), two hitting tunnels (12' x 70'), pitching machines, warm up and workout area, wi-fi and a classroom area for meetings. The CTW organization plans to conduct softball clinics for young players and hold 6 on 6 practice games.
CTW began as the Crystal Lake Tidal Waves in 1990 and combined with the Cary Crush in 2015. Their 10U - 18U teams play PGF, USA, USSSA and NAFA tournaments. CTW teams have captured many trophies at local, regional and national tournaments. Players on varsity high school teams have been High School All-Conference and Northwest Herald All-Area. This past year two players made the Illinois High School All-State team. Many CTW players have gone on to play softball in college. One of our goals is to help players who want to play in college get there by playing in college exposure tournaments and leading the players through the process.
Tryouts for the 2019 season will begin Saturday, August 4 and go until Sunday, August 12 for 10U -18U teams at Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake. New this year will be an 8U/9U developmental team. Coaches are needed for this level. Check out their web site at https://www.crushtidalwaves.or... for specific dates, times and to register.
