Crystal Lake Accident Injures 2, Closes Road

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A Route 31 accident left two people hospitalized and shut down the road Monday, according to reports. The Northwest Herald reported that authorities responded soon before 5 p.m.

The accident just north of Route 176 left the roadway by Ray Street shut down for about an hour. An auto parts store-owned pick up and a Lincoln sedan collided.

The Crystal Lake Police Department, Crystal Lake Fire Protection District and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded, according to the Herald.

Authorities are still investigating the collision.
