Crystal Lake Blotter: Prostitution, Underage Drinking

A look at arrests made in recent weeks by the Crystal Lake Police Department.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department made the following arrests in recent weeks:

Matthew John Marchbanks, 34, was arrested on July 10 and charged with domestic battery, aggravated domestic battery, resisting/obstructing a peace officer/correctional employee, unlawful restraint and criminal damage to government property. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Eric David Bender, 35, of the 3700 block of Bunker Hill Drive in Algonquin, was arrested on July 18 and charged with driving under the influence/alcohol, obstructing justice/destroy evidence and driving in a suspended license. Bender was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Ana Marissa Delarosa, 25, of the 200 block of Minthaven Court in Gurnee, was arrested on June 26 and charged with prostitution. Her bond was set at $100.

Samantha A. Mueller, 19, of the 5200 block of Glenbrook Trail in McHenry, was arrested on July 24 and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was issued a notice to appear in court and is next expected in court on Aug. 31.

Edward James Castic, 51, was arrested on July 27 and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail.

Kurt Michael Neizgooda, 28, of the 100 block of North Main Street in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Aug. 1 and charged with battery. His bond was set at $150. He is next expected in court on Sept. 14.

Sonia Garcia, 39, was arrested on Aug. 1 and charged with domestic battery. She was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Stefan Mihalache, 18, of the 2400 block of Randall Lane in Arlington Heights, was arrested on July 2 and charged with retail theft. Mihalache was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

Ivan Garcia, 26, of the 1500 block of North Seminary Avenue in Woodstock, was arrested on July 22 and charged with firearm without a valid FOID, illegal possession of ammunition and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon/vehicle. Garcia was turned over to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
