Crystal Lake Cancels Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony
The May 25 festivities have been cancelled.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The city's Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony have been cancelled, city officials announced. The festivities had been scheduled for May 25,
"This decision was made due to the extension of the Governor’s Stay at Home Order until the end of May," city officials in Crystal Lake noted in a recent newsletter.
Health officials recommend residents continue to practice social distancing and leave at least six feet between others. Large gatherings are also prohibited under the order.
