Crystal Lake Cardinal Health Plant To Close
The company has notified its employees that the Crystal Lake facility will close by mid-2023.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A Cardinal Health manufacturing facility will close by mid-year 2023 but company officials have not shared why they will be shutting the doors to its Crystal Lake plant.
The Northwest Herald is reporting employees have been notified of the closure and the company plans to give workers more compensation, benefits and outplacement services. Erich Timmerman, a spokesman for Cardinal Health, wrote in an email response to the Northwest Herald that the company is adopting to "meet the changing needs of our industry."
Cardinal Health employs 44,000 workers worldwide. The company manufactures healthcare products, including pharmaceuticals and medical and laboratory product and also provides of performance and data solutions for healthcare facilities, according to the company website.
