Crystal Lake City Council Selects Centennial Logo Design

The Crystal Lake City Council recently selected the winner of the Centennial logo design contest.

Council members selected the logo design submitted by Michael Neamand, of Think Ink, to represent the city's 100th year of incorporation, according to the city.

Crystal Lake is celebrating its centennial in 2014. The actual date of incorporation is Sept. 23, 1914, according to the city.

In all, 26 logo designs were submitted to the Crystal Lake Centennial Committee. The committee whittled the logo contenders down to six.

The city council had the honor of picking the winning design that will be used for centennial activities and events.

Crystal Lake will celebrate its 100th anniversary of incorporation in 2014. All logo contest finalists received a $100 I-Shop Crystal Lake gift certificate, according to the city.
