Crystal Lake Cocaine Dealers Busted: Police
A search warrant at an apartment on Darlington Court turned up 280 grams of cocaine valued at $22,000, police said.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A man and a woman accused of dealing cocaine in the McHenry County area are off the streets after Crystal Lake police arrested them at an apartment in town Wednesday night, authorities said Friday. The Crystal Lake Police Department worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration to identify Carmen J. Gutierrez, 44, and Angelica Sotelo–Torre, 22, both of the 500 block of Darlington Lane, as persons of interest in an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to a news release.
Following a seven-month probe, authorities searched the duo's Crystal Lake apartment Wednesday where they uncovered 280 grams of cocaine, according to Crystal Lake police. The cocaine has a street value of $22,640.
Gutierrez and Sotelo-Torres are charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. They remain in custody at the McHenry County Jail, and their bail has been set at $150,000.

Both are due back in court on Oct. 28. Meanwhile, authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
