Crystal Lake Football Teams to Host First Round Games

The IHSA playoffs have been announced and all three Crystal Lake schools will host their games in the first round.

There was one surprise concerning the area teams: Crystal Lake South was slotted into the 6A bracket instead of the loaded 7A class. The 7A bracket features a lot of power houses, including Carmel, East St. Louis, Lake Zurich, Wheaton-Warrenville South and Glenbard North.

The dates of the games have yet to be announced.

Class 6A

#16 Grant (5-4) at #1 Crystal Lake South (9-0)

#13 Fenwick (5-4) at #4 Prairie Ridge (8-1)

Class 5A

#9 Antioch (7-2) at #8 Crystal Lake Central (7-2)
