The City of Crystal Lake is organizing resources to support our business community.
The City’s website www.crystallake.org homepage features a link “Small Business Assistance,” which opens the assistance page. Beginning Monday, the City is hosting web presentations to businesses walking through the steps to apply for funding programs. Various programs are available and deadlines are quickly approaching.
The Hospitality Emergency Grant Program is for bars, restaurants, and hotels and would provide assistance with payroll, job training, operating costs and rent. Applications are due by April 1st at 5:00 pm and recipients will be chosen on April 4th. The City’s webinar at 2:00pm on Monday, March 30th will outline the application process. The other key program available right now is the Small Business Association’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan that provides loans up to $2 million to assist with payroll, bills and mortgages. The how-to checklist for this program is on the City’s website and the City will host a web presentation in the near future for businesses.

Additional federal stimulus funds are coming soon. Businesses are encouraged to contact the City at 815-356-3605 or hmaieritsch@crystallake.org to be notified of new programs and tips for applying. Keeping our business community running during these times is critical and we encourage all Crystal Lake businesses to apply for these funds.
