Crystal Lake Tries for World's Largest Swimming Lesson Record Thursday

No need to register, just drop by Main Beach on June 18 at 10 am

On Thursday, June 18th, 2015, tens of thousands of kids and adults at aquatic facilities around the world will unite for the sixth year in a row to set a new Guinness World Record™. The global record attempt for The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL), will take place at 10 am local Crystal Lake time. In the last five years, TEAM WLSL has set five Guinness World Records (GWR) for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™, with 36,564 swimmers from 22 countries participating in 2014.
Since the first WLSL event in 2010, more than 120,000 people have participated in WLSL events and millions and millions of individuals have learned about the vital importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent the second leading cause of accidental death for kids 1-14.

Crystal Lake Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive will be serving as an official Host Location facility for the WLSL 2015 event. No registration is necessary to participate and this event is open and free for all ages (usual daily beach admission fees apply). Just stop by Main Beach!
