Crystal Lake Man, 89, Is Missing: Police
Authorities believe the elderly man got lost while driving to a family's home in Woodstock on Thanksgiving.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating an 89-year-old man who was reported missing after he did not show up to a Thanksgiving gathering at a family's house in Woodstock, police said. The family last spoke to Frank Hyden at 5:30 p.m. Thursday while he was at his home in Crystal Lake.
Authorities do not suspect foul play but believe Hyden got lost while driving to Woodstock, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.
Hyden is described as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has gray hair, a gray beard and mustache, and is balding on the top of his head. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored ball cap and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

He drives a silver 2015 Chevrolet Spark with an Illinois registration of AD 36469.
Anyone with information regarding Hyden's whereabouts is asked to call the Crystal Lake Police Department at 815-356-3620 or call 911. Anyone with a cell phone can send an anonymous tip to the Crystal Lake Police Department by texting the word CLPDTIP along with the tip information to 847411 (tip411).
