Crystal Lake Park District Main and West Beaches

End of Season Operations Information

As the 2021 beach season comes to a close, the Crystal Lake Park District announced the hours of operation for Main and West Beach swim area for August.

RESIDENT Daily Admission Fees:

Park District Resident: $1

Guest of Park District Resident: $4 per guests

Senior Citizen (age 60+): FREE

Children (age 3 and under): FREE

Parking: FREE

Twilight Rate (begins at 5 pm): FREE

NON-RESIDENT Daily Admission Fees:

Park District Non-Resident (ages 16-59 years): $12

Youth (4-15 years): $9

Senior Citizen (age 60+): $9

Children (age 3 and under): FREE

Parking: FREE

Twilight Rate (begins at 5 pm): Half Price

2021 Beach Hours of Operation

Main Beach

Jun 5-Aug 13 (7 days/week)

9 am-Dusk

Main Beach closed for special event 8/13/21

West Beach

Aug 3-8, 10 am-7 pm

West Beach closed Mon, 8/9-Th, 8/12/21

West Beach open Fri, 8/13, 10 am-7 pm

2021 Post Season Hours Weekends Only

Aug 14 & 15, 21 & 22, 28 & 29, Sept 4-6

10 am-6 pm

West Beach

Closed for the season after August 13

A handicap beach wheelchair is available at both Main and West Beach. Please contact the Beach Office for further information 815-477-5404

Main Beach Boat Rental

Open during hours of operation, weather dependent, 9 am-7 pm

Boat Rentals are available at the Main Beach Boat House. Boat rentals include: paddle boats, canoes, sailboats, rowboats, kayak, dragon boat and stand up paddle board. To reserve a boat rental online, go to crystallakeparks.org, click on ‘Places to Go’ and then ‘Beaches’ and then the ‘Boating’ tab.

All renters must sign a Boat Rental Waiver. 12-15 year olds may use boats with a signature of a parent/guardian who is present on the beach. 16-17 year olds may use boats with a signature of a parent/guardian.
