Crystal Lake Police Department To Host 'Coffee With The Chief'

At the upcoming event, police will discuss how residents can protect themselves from scammers, especially around tax season.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL—Want to make sure you don't fall prey to popular scams? Then you may want to take part in the Crystal Lake Police Department's upcoming "Coffee with the Chief" on March 3 at 6 p.m.

The department's latest segment will discuss how residents can protect themselves from scammers who prey on unsuspecting victims.

"With tax season here, familiarize yourself with the most recent IRS scams and other common scams that can may compromise your identity," the police department wrote on its Facebook page.

The seminar will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Crystal Lake Police Department, which is located at 100 W Woodstock Street Rooms P105 and P106.
