Crystal Lake Police Hosting Free National Night Out Event Downtown

Families can meet K-9 officers, explore emergency vehicles, enjoy food and entertainment during the Aug. 6 community event.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department will host a free, family-friendly National Night Out celebration Thursday in downtown Crystal Lake.

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Williams Street, south of Brink Street, and will feature activities designed to bring residents and police officers together. Attendees can meet K-9 Cruise and K-9 Osaka, watch a K-9 demonstration, check out a Touch-A-Truck display and get their bicycle helmets properly sized. Free helmets will also be available while supplies last.

Children can leave their handprints on a police squad car, while local businesses will provide food and entertainment throughout the evening.
