Crystal Lake Resident Wins Yumz Contest

A Crystal Lake resident won Yumz's "Coolest Combos Challenge" and will receive a year's supply of frozen yogurt and the title of "Ultimate Coolest Combo."

Samantha Glazer, 22, won the first-ever contest with her combo creation, Yumberry Cheesecake.

"She’s a Yumz regular and orders this combo every time she visits," said Leslie Petersen of Zapwater Communications. 

February 6th was National Frozen Yogurt Day and Yum launched its Gourmet Frozen Yogurt first-ever “Coolest Combo™ Challenge,” asking patrons to create the ultimate combination of frozen yogurt and toppings.

A “Coolest Combo” allows customers to select their own combinations of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings, and give a name to identify the combo. Yumz is known for its thousands of delicious signature flavor and topping combinations, Petersen said.

Yumz offers a rotating selection of more than 50 flavors in varieties including tart—for the frozen yogurt purist, regular—tastes sweet like ice cream, no sugar added—for the extra health conscious and sorbet – for those interested in dairy free products, Petersen said. 

"Along with a toppings bar consisting of more than 75 options, including fruits, nuts, sauces and dry toppings, the combinations are endless and there’s certainly something for everyone," she said.

Glazer's winning Yumberry Cheesecake combo includes:

Fro Yo:  Cake Batter, Cheesecake, Strawberry & Raspberry Pomegranate.

Toppings:  Strawberry Boba Balls, Strawberries and Cheesecake Bites.
