Crystal Lake West Bay Herbicide Treatments Scheduled for July 11

On Tuesday morning, 7/11/2017, Hey and Associates, Inc. will be conducting herbicide treatments for areas within West Bay. The treatment areas in West Bay will include specific, individual “in-pier” waters adjacent to the shoreline to approximately 50’ offshore. These areas are to be treated with a granular form of a contact algaecide and aquatic herbicide to control nuisance submerged vegetation.

Water use restrictions are as follows:

• Do not use fish from treated areas for food or feed within 3 days after treatment from the “in-pier” areas to be treated (approx. 0’-50’ offshore)
• Do not use water from the immediate treated areas for irrigation, sprays or for potable (drinking) water for a period of up to 14 days

• No swimming restrictions are listed on the product label (swimming post treatment is not restricted)

Treatment signs will only be posted at the time of the treatment in each individual lot IF areas adjacent to those shorelines receive treatment.

Should the weather prevent this treatment from occurring on the date listed above, the treatment will be conducted on the next business day that the weather allows.
