Crystal Lake's Flannel Fest Tickets Now Available

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Lumberjacks and log-rolling and axe-throwing shows — combined with a longest beard contest and plenty of food and drinks — will be coming to Crystal Lake's Main Beach in October. Flannel Fest will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 22, and tickets are now available to purchase for the festival.

Tickets cost $10 for adults ages 18 years old and older if purchased prior to the event and will be $12 at the door. Tickets for students ages 6 to 17 years old will cost $5 prior to the event and $7 at the door.

Children ages 5 years old and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the door.

The festival will include three shows by Timberworks of Minnesota, which will include hot sawing, speed chopping, log rolling and axe throwing. There will also be a raptor show, according to a Crystal Lake Park District Facebook post.

Food trucks and a beer garden will also be on site during the fest, which will include pie-eating and longest-beard contests and "The Third Coast Bluegrass" band will perform from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
