Culver's Franchisee Eyes Mr. Beefy's, Villa Bleu

Will Culver's be coming to downtown Fox River Grove?

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – The family that runs Culver’s restaurants in Woodstock, Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg is now looking to buy two Fox River Grove restaurants. Dan Skoubis, the owner of both Mr. Beefy’s, 512 Route 14, and Villa Bleu, 516 Route 14, is in negotiations with Barry Himmelfarb, a local Culver’s franchisee, according to the Northwest Herald. A notice for public hearing was posted outside Mr. Beefy’s.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 19 at village hall, 305 Illinois Street, to discuss “special use for a drive-thru food service, and an outdoor dining area, a variance for a box/cabinet sign with an electric message display board,” the Northwest Herald reports.
