D-26 Seeks Panel Members for Engagement Committee
Have your voice heard and represent the Cary community.

The Board of Education Community Engagement Committee is
currently taking applications for open positions on its community member panel.
The district made the announcement looking for four members to fill the panel November 2011 but only one application had been submitted.
Superintendent Brian Coleman has recommended Scott Epstein to join the panel and final approval will be decided at the Jan. 23 regular board meeting.

Epstein, who’s been active in many district meetings, has been a member of the Cary community for five years and currently has children attending Deer Path Elementary School. Epstein is the President of FOG Equities LLC, which is a Broker/Dealer on the Chicago Stock Exchange. He is also the owner of IllinoisRealEstate.com, a full service real estate brokerage.
If Epstein were approved, the panel would reach five members but still three shy of the panel’s capacity of eight.

The community is encouraged to submit applications until the remaining positions are filled.
Also, one-year terms will be ending for Stephanie Franco, Jacob VandeMoortel and Jennifer Norton on March 14, 2012. Shortly after, Josh Howell’s one-year term will end on May 16, 2012. These terms will need replacements.
The committee works in conjunction with the three-Board member committee and meets together on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
Community members interested in serving on the panel may fill out an application found on the district’s website www.cary26.org
