CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - The District 155 school board this past week approved a $45,850 contract with Sage YMCA that will allow the district to hold swim practices and meets at the local pool during the 2016-17 school year, the Northwest Herald.

The school district will pay $25 per lane per hour to use seven of the YMCA’s eight lanes for swim practices, which will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. during “non-peak” hours at the pool, according to the article. That time frame will mean swimmers wanting to make the full practice will have to miss ninth period.

One parent told the Northwest Herald he is happy to be back at the YMCA after the district last summer moved practices to Woodstock High School and to the Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center when the YMCA upped its rental costs.
