School Closings: Some Local Schools Close Wednesday Due to Bitter Cold

With bitter cold temperatures and dangerously low wind chill values in the forecast Wednesday, local schools and churches have begun to announce closings.

Here is a look at local closings as of 4 p.m. Tuesday:

• District 155 schools: Closed on Wednesday
• First United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake: Parents Morning Out is closed; Mid-week evening programs and dinner is cancelled
• First United Methodist Preschool: Closed on Wednesday
• Lord & Savior Lutheran School in Crystal Lake: Closed on Wednesday
• My Father’s World Preschool in Crystal Lake: Closed on Wednesday
