District 26 Board Member Resigns

The school district is now seeking candidates for the open seat.

From Cary Schools: The Cary District 26 Board of Education has a 2-year open seat that must be filled by appointment. Mr. Len Kazmer submitted his resignation to Superintendent Brian Coleman to be effective at the end of the next regular board meeting scheduled for April 29, 2019. Mr. Kazmer stated that although he has enjoyed his time on the board, he is no longer able to meet the time commitments of the position. This event triggers a 45-day window in which the school board is required to interview and appoint a new board member.

Applications are being accepted for the open board seat at this time. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, a resident of Cary Community Consolidated School District 26 for at least one year and a registered voter. The open seat will be appointed to serve through the April 2021 general election. The board encourages any community member who is interested in serving the district to come forward and apply for the position. By law the seat must be filled within 45 days from the effective date of the resignation. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest with resume/qualifications to Superintendent Brian Coleman at the District 26 Administrative Center, 2115 Crystal Lake Road, Cary, IL. 60013 or email it to Dr. Coleman’s attention at brian.coleman@cary26.org. All applications must be received at the Administration Center by the end of the business day on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 to be considered.
