District 47 Announces Kindergarten Registration Dates

CRYSTAL LAKE-CARY, IL - From Crystal Lake Elementary District 47: District 47 kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will kick-off on February 27-28, 2018 at the district’s CORE Center, 300 Commerce Drive in Crystal Lake. Parents are encouraged to register their child on their school’s designated day (see schedule below) as school representatives will be present and available to answer questions. Three time slots will be available on both days: 9 am-11 am, 1 pm-3 pm and 5 pm-6:45 pm.

To be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2018-2019 school year, a child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018. A parent or guardian must be present at registration and bring required documentation, which includes an original birth certificate (hospital certificates not accepted) and an acceptable form of proof of residency. For more information about required documentation, parents can visit the District 47 website. To expedite the registration process, parents are also encouraged to pre-fill, print and bring in the new student registration packet, also available on the district website.

Early registration helps determine overall enrollment and assists with appropriate staffing and class size. Note: Fees are not due at the time of registration.
