“I am appreciative of the opportunity to serve D47 in this capacity,” said Kubelka. “For years I had the good fortune to collaborate with D47 staff on a variety of matters and I have always admired and appreciated what they have accomplished for the benefit of students. To be part of D47 in this manner means a great deal to me.”
District 47 Superintendent Dr. Kathy Hinz echoed Kubelka’s enthusiasm. “We look forward to having Scott join our team,” she said. “Scott’s roots in elementary education combined with his unique perspective and experience at the high school level will allow us to continue to align and reinforce our efforts to prepare students for high school and beyond.”
Both Kubelka and Bevevino will finish out the school year in their current capacities. In her retirement, Bevevino said she plans to stay connected to educational leadership and coaching/mentoring and looks forward to spending time with her family. Kubelka will begin serving District 47 as of July 1, 2016.
