Downtown Cary Laundromat Damaged In Blaze
No one was injured when the blaze broke out at Fox Valley Laundromat early Tuesday.

CARY, IL - A laundromat in downtown Cary will be closed as the owners make repairs following a blaze that badly damaged the bushiness early Tuesday. Firefighters were called to Fox Valley Laundromat, 354 Northwest Highway in Cary, at about 2:37 a.m. where they found heavy smoke coming from the business. The self-service laundromat is open 24 hours and was being used by customers, who were waiting outside in their cars at the time of the blaze, according to a news release from the Cary Fire Protection District.
When firefighters arrived, they entered the laundromat and found a dryer fully engulfed in flames, which they quickly extinguished. They also searched the building and found no one inside and no one was injured in blaze, according to a news release.
Fox Valley Laundromat is located in a strip mall that also includes O'Reilly Auto Parts, Edge Fitness & Performance, Dollar General, Cuco's Burrito Express, Sparrow's Nest Thrift Store, and Volume Liquors. The blaze did not spread to nearby businesses. But it did cause extensive smoke damage to Fox Valley Laundromat, fire officials said. The business will be closed until further notice for repairs.
