Downtown Mexican Restaurant To Add Outdoor Seating
The Crystal Lake City Council has OK'd seating on a public sidewalk outside Taqueria Las Cumbres on Grant Street.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL β Sidewalk seating has been approved for another restaurant in downtown Crystal Lake.
The Crystal Lake City Council approved an ordinance to allow outdoor seating on the sidewalk in front of Taqueria Las Cumbres, 93 Grant Street in Crystal Lake. The local restaurant plans to add four two-person tables in the public sidewalk and four additional tables near the entrance of the building, according to city documents.
Other restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake have been allowed to set up seating on private and public property with a limited use permit, including: Grounds Coffee Bar, Carlos Pancake House, CafeΜ Olympic, Aroma CafeΜ, Judeβs and Cantina 52.

Taqueria Las Cumbres previously had outdoor seating on private property during the pandemic and the recent approval by the city council will allow them to expand to public property.
Taqueria Las Cumbres is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
