Driver Sues Cary Over Police Pursuit That Left Him Seriously Injured: Lawsuit
The local man alleges Cary officers' pursuit in July 2025 caused a crash at Route 31 and Three Oaks Road, according to reports.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A Crystal Lake man has filed a lawsuit against the village of Cary, alleging that a July 8 police pursuit that began in Cary and ended in a crash at Route 31 and Three Oaks Road in Crystal Lake permanently injured him.
The suit, filed Friday in McHenry County Court, claims Cary police acted with “willful and wanton conduct” by engaging in the pursuit that led to the collision, according to Shaw Local. According to the complaint, the driver was seriously hurt in the crash and is seeking damages related to his injuries.
