Dutch Bros Coffee Is Coming To Crystal Lake
The Crystal Lake City Council approves a Dutch Bros, marking it one of the chain's first Northern Illinois locations.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Dutch Bros Coffee plans to open one of its first Northern Illinois drive-thru locations in Crystal Lake after the City Council unanimously approved the proposal.
The shop will be built at 5999 Northwest Highway as part of a new two-tenant building that could also include an optical or medical retailer, according to Shaw Local.
Although the city’s planning and zoning commission had raised concerns about traffic and the small site, council members said they supported the developers’ traffic plan and preferred the project over a previously approved car wash.

Developers say the location could become one of the first Dutch Bros shops to break ground in the Chicago area, according to the news article.
