Early Bird Discount Offered for Nonprofit Bootcamps---Save $90

From now until March 15, Volunteer Center McHenry County (VCMC) is offering an early bird discount of $90 off the registration fee for two of its most popular bootcamp workshops. (Use code 90OFF.)

The Executive Director Bootcamp is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, from 9 am – 4 pm. Attendees of this bootcamp will learn the essentials of running a nonprofit including defining and fulfilling your mission, roles of the executive director/board/staff/volunteers, strategic leadership and management. Learn about best practices and case studies as well as expectations of performance by key stakeholders. This bootcamp will be taught by Alicia Schatteman, Acting Director for Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies and Associate Professor. Her classes are always fast-paced and jam-packed full of practical information that you can immediately put to good use.

The Nonprofit Marketing Bootcamp is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, from 9 am – 4 pm. During this bootcamp attendees will spend the day talking about why your first step should always be slowing down and actually defining your audience, what the difference between mission marketing and program marketing is, which tools you should already be using, how to use storytelling to share your mission, marketing trends to pay attention to and ones to ignore, and more much. This bootcamp will be taught by Bobbi Baehne from of Think Big, Go Local. Bobbi has extensive experience in helping nonprofits learn the skills they need to share their mission and programs…and she makes sure they have fun while doing it.

Breakfast and lunch are included with the cost of registration, parking is free, and the facility is located less than 2 miles from the Crystal Lake/Pingree Road Metra station. The workshop will take place at VCMC’s office located at 620 Dakota Street, 2nd Building in Crystal Lake. The early bird discount is only valid for the Executive Director Bootcamp and Nonprofit Marketing Bootcamp and expires March 15. Retroactive discounts are not allowed.
