Local Owner Seeks Local Support

Eugenio's Pizza is in need of help.

Due to the recent save of Nick's Pizza & Pub approach, I would like to offer some insight regarding Eugenio's.

In mid-summer 2009 I came to the location to get some taco's before going home that evening. I found the door was locked and that they had went out of business.

I had attended ECC for Culinary Arts & Hotel Restaurant Management, and I thought to myself "I should open a restaurant in this location". I am a Cary Grove Alumni, I had another business in Cary for many years, and I am a resident of Cary.

Local owner should get local support, makes sense to do it.

All the stars aligned for me to open this place at a fraction of what was really needed. I was able to work out a great deal with the landlord, I secured a investment loan from a personal friend, and I knew I could offer the work ethic needed to complete this venture.

I invested every last penny I had to my name to open the doors. Now when I look back sometimes I ask my self "Why"? I work here 7 days a week for no paycheck, I can not pay any of my personal bills, and I keep losing money every month.

The reason WHY is: The burning passion to satisfy the customer’s hunger using unique recipes at a price they can afford, to help the community by creating jobs, and of course to make a living.

I have lost my house to foreclosure, ruined my credit for the next 7 + years, and soon I may have to close the restaurant because I am out of money. So that is only going to put more debt added to my plate.

In the 2 months & 2 days we were open in 2009 we had a loss of $ 19K. In the upcoming year 2010 we had a loss of only $ 31K for the entire year. Now this year 2011 we are building a client base, improving our annual sales, and moving in the right direction.

As of January through September of this year our revenues are up 31%. That is Great! THANK YOU to all of our loyal customers.

In 2011 we should have a substantial loss reduction in comparison to the past years. I believe at the pace we are growing that in 2012 we should be able to break even, maybe even turn a profit.

From today through the end of the year I need to secure approximately $50,000 to cover the 2009 and 2010 losses.

I am willing to accept donations (against my pride), sign promissory notes for repayment, or take on investors to share in future earnings. All I have left is this business I have started, hopefully I can retain it.

If you have any ideas, comments, or suggestions please contact me. Email at info@carypizzaguy.com or stop in and talk to me in person.
