The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County and Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen are teaming up once again to raise money for the Defenders with an afternoon sampling of eco-friendly beers paired with Duke’s amazing small bites. The fundraiser takes place on Earth Day - Sunday, April 22nd from 2-5 p.m. at Duke’s, 110 N. Main Street, Crystal Lake.
Come mingle with friends and eco-minded breweries as you taste several beers and Duke’s food items in a buffet setting. Meet representatives from Stone Brewery, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, and more while enjoying their exquisite beers. Learn how these breweries have become leaders in brewing beers with minimal impact on the environment. This is an extremely unique (and tasty!) event that cannot be missed.
Proceeds from the tasting and raffle will help the Defenders purchase recycling totes, which will be used in their pilot program to offer recycling options at area events, such as parades and local festivals.
