The Cary Park District holds a Guardstart: Lifeguarding Tomorrow class for kids and teens age 11 to 15 years old. Attendants will learn basic lifeguarding skills and knowledge to help them become certified in the future. Registration required, participants must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle, tread water for 1 minute and dive to 18 feet underwater.
