The annual sale benefits the Crystal Lake Friends of Gifted Education (CLFOGE), a not for profit group of parents and educators dedicated to supporting gifted education throughout Crystal Lake School District 47.
"People walk out with 20 to 30 books for their kids at the price they’d have paid for a single new book. We carry books for adults, too," said Kerry Devine, an organizer of the sale. "If someone has a few minutes to drop by and pick out some books, they’re in for a great bargain, and the proceeds help us provide support for the EC students and teachers of District 47."
