Second Annual Kids 'R' Kids Car Wash Supporting Turning Point

Staying true to the national preschool’s values, Kids ‘R’ Kids Crystal Lake is invested in helping its community. Kids ‘R’ Kids Crystal Lake completes its fundraising efforts in support of Turning Point with its 2^nd annual car wash to be held August 2, 2012 from 3:30 – 6 p.m. at the school.

For more than 25 years, Turning Point, a domestic violence agency in McHenry County, has been a safe environment with a mission to confront violence against women and children of domestic abuse. The agency offers such programs and services as: 24-hour crisis intervention and response, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, legal and non-legal advocacy, bilingual/bicultural services and prevention education, among others.

Kids ‘R’ Kids Crystal Lake is a locally owned and operated franchise. Students have had a fun-packed month as usual, but since July 20, the fun has been for a good cause. Students have participated in Penny Wars, cookie sales, bake sales, dinners on the go, and will culminate the fundraising with the annual car wash. Star 105.5 Morning Show host Joe Cicero will also be on site for the car wash.

“We feel it’s important to be a contributing member of the community we live and work in,” said Andie Kulach, co-owner of Kids ‘R’ Kids Crystal Lake. “Turning Point is a great organization with an important cause  – we enjoy raising money for the organization, and the children have had a great time both years.”
