Festival of Lights Parade Held This Friday in Crystal Lake

The 2015 Festival of Lights parade steps off at 7 p.m. on Friday.

There will be no parking along the parade route including: North Caroline Street, Crystal Lake Avenue, Grant Street, Woodstock Street and Williams Street. Vehicles should be off these streets after 5 p.m. and can be parked in public/commuter parking lots.

This year, the Manrose family of Crystal Lake has been chosen (at random) among hundreds of entrants to ride on Santa’s sleigh at the parade. Chris and Wendy Manrose and their children Madison, 6; Elliana, 5; and Collin, 1, will be riding in the horse-drawn sleigh with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Visits with Santa will start for the holiday season immediately following the parade. Santa House hours can be found on the Downtown Crystal Lake website.
